We are broken before God in the area of believing He has all POWER.
It’s easy to say we believe in God. It takes faith to act in His power. The Bible tells us Jesus gave us all authority. We are told there is a power greater than the world who lives within us. With the power who created all the heavens and earth, who defeated the darkness from the enemy, and who healed the sick living within us, we should not fear anything or anyone.
The power that raised the dead is a part of everyone in Christ. The power gets covered up by fear and by our own ideas. We get caught up in the impossibilities instead of really believing with Christ all things are possible. Our prayers are plagued with doubt instead of confidence. Instead of living in the abundance of life Jesus promised, we are trudging through the days.
Can we begin a conversation about how we can start living with confidence in the power of God? How can our actions begin to reflect the power of God to the world around us?
Almighty God, you are the one who has all power. When Jesus left this earth, He said He entrusted us with His power. Forgive us for not accessing and using your power to advance your kingdom. We ask you to change our hearts and let our lives be a testimony of the greatness of your power. Thank you, God, for your faithfulness and trust in us. I pray that we, your body, would act in your power so many more will come to know You. In Jesus name, amen.
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me”. Matthew 28:18
I can do all this through him who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13
You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 1 John 4:4
